Chandka Medical College (CMC),〔http://www.cmc.edu.pk〕 established on 20 April 1973.,〔http://www.cmc.edu.pk/main/history.html〕 is a third public sector Medical College under Government of Sindh where more than 300 students of tagged districts including Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot District, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmor and Naushahro Feroze get admission. It also provide post graduate training to doctors. It provide tertiary medical care facilities to upper Sindh and half of Balouchistan population and Medical education for the students of Larkana division. It is one of the constituent Colleges of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University〔http://www.smbbmu.edu.pk〕 (SMBBMU) Larkana of the Sindh province in Pakistan. The School has a large and experienced faculty to support its mission of education, research, and clinical care. Faculty members hold appointments in the basic science departments and in the clinical departments located CMC Teaching Hospital as well as other offices in Larkana. There are approximately 75 full-time faculty members consisting of assistant, associate, and full professors at CMC Larkana. ==History== Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto initiated a project to found three medical colleges in Sindh province; Chandka Medical College was first among them. It is located in a building that had formerly housed a Government Polytechnic Institute Larkana, and Professor Ali Mohammad Ansari was appointed as the first Principal of the College.
